Stantec UK has a market-leading Environmental Services group, supporting clients across their environmental, geotechnical and water disciplines. Within our Environmental Services group, we are seeking Graduate Net Zero, Climate Change and Sustainability consultants to join our team, who are passionate about climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability. You will learn to provide practical solutions to our clients that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment.
You will be involved in:
- Undertaking carbon foot printing and developing low carbon solutions in support of our clients’ Net Zero plans.
- Sustainability appraisal, natural capital and social value assessments.
- Conducting climate change risk assessments and developing adaptation plans and strategies.
- Developing digital approaches to embed sustainability into our wider engineering and environmental services.
- Helping develop and assess sustainability targets and maintaining project records.
- Clearly communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external teams.
- Providing support on wider sustainability and resource efficiency projects.
- Attending site visits and client meetings.
- Assisting with preparing bids and proposals for new work.
- Engaging with wider skills networks across our business to share knowledge and exchange best practices.
We will help you to engage with the latest climate change and sustainability legislation, policy and guidance, as well as to develop your capabilities in sustainability and carbon consulting. As a member of our team, you'll work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills and knowledge. We'll provide you with opportunities to learn and grow, while you help us deliver successful projects for our clients.
Key is your passion for climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability as demonstrated in your studies or work experience. You will enjoy evaluating options by understanding context and risks, and developing practical solutions that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment. You should be able to organise and manage your own activities, dealing effectively with multiple priorities with a structured approach, and able to switch between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks. You’ll be motivated and proactive in your work, exhibiting ownership of your workload, and having the desire to make a real difference.
About you:
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with your degree in Sustainability, Climate, Engineering, Geography, Business, Economics, Environmental Science or other environmental-related degree, we’d love to receive your application if you are:
