Your role:
We are looking for a Graduate Sustainability & Carbon Management Consultant to be based in Edinburgh , joining our 2026 Graduate Programme.
Stantec UK has a market-leading Environmental Services (ES) group, supporting clients across their environmental, geotechnical and water disciplines. Within our ES group, we are seeking Graduate Net Zero, Climate Change and Sustainability consultants to join our team, who are passionate about climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability. You will learn to provide practical solutions to our clients that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment.
You will be involved in;
- Undertaking carbon foot printing and developing low carbon solutions in support of our clients\' Net Zero plans.
- Sustainability appraisal, natural capital and social value assessments.
- Conducting climate change risk assessments and developing adaptation plans and strategies.
- Developing digital approaches to embed sustainability into our wider engineering and environmental services.
- Helping develop and assess sustainability targets and maintaining project records.
- Clearly communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external teams.
- Providing support on wider sustainability and resource efficiency projects.
- Attending site visits and client meetings.
- Assisting with preparing bids and proposals for new work.
- Engaging with wider skills networks across our business to share knowledge and exchange best practices.
