The successful candidate will sit within our Glasgow office and work with colleagues across our wider Water and MEICA teams to support project delivery for water sector clients. You’ll have the chance to make a positive impact on the environment through sustainable engineering solutions, working on water and wastewater projects that support resilient services, environmental performance and practical design delivery. These projects will give you the exposure needed to broaden your understanding of the water industry and develop your technical capability.

About The Role: Alongside the MEICA team, you will support practical engineering delivery, site-based information gathering and technical documentation while developing your understanding of electrical design in the water sector. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking site visits for condition assessment and information gathering.
  • Supporting senior engineers with schedules and authoring technical documents.
  • Building up site power burden and calculating new site requirements.
  • Supporting specification of system architecture layouts, including fibre network design.
  • Participating in constructability workshops and contributing to practical design solutions.
  • Developing your technical capability through project work, collaboration, training and structured graduate development.

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. This role will support professional development towards the Institution of Engineering and Technology, alongside project-based learning and structured graduate development.

Your Impact: This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities and the environment by supporting water and wastewater projects that improve asset performance, strengthen resilience and support sustainable, affordable solutions for clients and communities across Glasgow, Scotland and beyond.
