The Opportunity

Join our 2027 (Autumn) Graduate Programme as a Graduate Transport Planner in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office, where you'll be part of a market-leading Community Development discipline.

As a Stantec graduate, you'll collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your transport planning expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. This team is involved in many exciting transport infrastructure and planning projects, including supporting public sector clients with strategies, appraisals and business cases for services and networks for all modes of transport. This includes bus, road, rail, active travel, ferry and cycling.

You'll have the opportunity to work on a broad range of exciting projects, from major new settlements and enterprise zone expansions to community-focused developments, supporting projects from concept and planning through to delivery. The Role

You'll be part of a wider UK team that is located across various Stantec’s offices, which will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of people, projects and disciplines. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, including conducting research, analysing data and report writing. You will also use your skills in:

  • policy reviews
  • data visualisation with ArcGIS
  • assisting with public consultations
  • contributing to project reporting and presentations
  • supporting on project proposals

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation - the applicable professional qualification for this role is Chartered Transport Planning Professional (CTPP) status awarded by the CIHT and TPS.

About you

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Geography / Transport / Engineering / Maths / Economics or Physics and a keen interest in the Infrastructure sector, you will be:
