We are recruiting a Town Planning Director to join our Birmingham office conveniently located in the heart of the city centre and within easy walking distance of New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill stations. About The Team: You’ll be joining an established planning team working on a wide mix of residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial and employment projects, covering Development Plan promotion, planning applications and appeals. With a strong platform already in place and clear potential for further growth across the Midlands, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the next chapter of our regional strategy. Our Planning team thrives on close collaboration with our Design & Masterplanning, Landscape, Transport, Engineering and Environmental specialists. Together, we offer a truly integrated, multidisciplinary approach, bringing diverse expertise around the table from day one to create smarter, more deliverable and better-designed outcomes for our clients and communities.
About You: You will be a Chartered Town Planner operating at Director level, or an experienced Associate Director ready to step up, with a blend of strong technical planning expertise and a commercially focused approach. A solid understanding of the Birmingham/Midlands market is key, ideally built through experience within a consultancy or private sector setting. Experience of Local Plan Examinations, planning appeals and inquiries is welcomed, and we’re open to applicants from a range of planning backgrounds that complement our existing strengths. You’ll play a key part in guiding and mentoring colleagues, contributing to a stable, collaborative, and supportive team environment. You’ll also work closely with the leadership team to help shape the region’s business development strategy.
