Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Birmingham office, where you will be part of our Water team and support the delivery of sustainable engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects. You’ll have the chance to make a positive impact on the environment through sustainable engineering solutions, working on a variety of exciting water and wastewater projects including storm overflows, flood alleviation, catchment and nature-based solutions. These projects will give you the exposure needed to broaden your understanding of the water industry and develop your technical capability.
About The Role: Alongside the MEICA team, you will support technical audits, risk evaluations and electrical/ICA design, liaising with other technical disciplines at feasibility, outline and detailed design stages to produce solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your core responsibilities include:
- Supporting electrical and ICA design for water and wastewater projects at feasibility, outline and detailed design stages.
- Assisting with technical audits, risk evaluations and engineering assessments.
- Working with MEICA colleagues and other technical disciplines to develop practical, sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
- Contributing to projects involving storm overflows, flood alleviation, catchment solutions and nature-based solutions.
- Developing your technical understanding of the water industry through project work, collaboration and structured graduate development.
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. This role will support you towards professional chartership with a relevant engineering institution, such as the IET, while developing your technical skills within the water sector.
Your Impact: This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities and the environment by supporting sustainable electrical and ICA solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure. Your work will contribute to projects that improve water quality, reduce environmental impact, support flood resilience and help clients deliver reliable services for communities.
