We have an exciting pipeline of work locally for clients such as NI Water and Uisce Eireann and we also support the wider Stantec UK business in the delivery of a wide range of AMP8 projects and the Scottish Water Enterprise where Stantec have been named as preferred bidder to be a primary designer on the framework.
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical or MEICA Engineers to join our Water team in Belfast. You will be involved in the full project life cycle, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations. This will mean leading mechanical design for infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations and more.
You will work closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to deliver positive project outcomes. You will also be involved in the mentorship and guidance of more junior engineers within the team.

About You
You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject, ideally holding Chartered status or working toward. Your previous experience will include working in detailed design within the water industry, and a background working for/with delivery contractors would also be beneficial. You will also be experienced in managing and mentoring of more junior engineers, with the opportunity to take on line management responsibilities within the team.
