Following continued project wins and new client partnerships, we are expanding our Waste & Generation team and are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer. You’ll be based across our Redditch or Newcastle upon Tyne offices, working on some of the most exciting and technically diverse projects in the sector.
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to a wide portfolio of energy projects, including Energy‑from‑Waste (EfW) facilities, District Heating networks, Gasification and Hydrogen schemes, and Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion plants. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle—from early optioneering and feasibility through to detailed design and installation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site surveys and technical investigations
- Developing mechanical designs, specifications and project‑wide engineering solutions
- Supporting the production of drawings, 3D models, P&IDs, schedules and reports
- Preparing specifications and scoping documents for construction packages
- Reviewing vendor designs and monitoring progress throughout delivery
Your Impact
You will play a key role in shaping project outcomes, ensuring that mechanical designs are technically sound, constructible and future‑ready. Your expertise will support safer, more efficient facilities and contribute to the long‑term resilience of the UK’s energy infrastructure.
Most importantly, your leadership and technical insight will help drive the energy transition forward—project by project, community by community.
