Our continued success in delivering for many of the UK's leading utility providers and major infrastructure developers is bringing significant growth across our team. This role can be based from any of our UK offices, with hybrid working allowing for a mix of home and in‑office working. The successful candidate will work across major programmes with clients in the water and energy sectors, focusing on optimising the financial performance of major projects and programmes. In this role, you will work closely with clients and other stakeholders to help deliver complex capital delivery programmes.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: collecting, analysing, and interpreting financial data to identify trends and variances. This process helps uncover opportunities for cost reduction and improves overall financial efficiency.
- Cost Modelling: developing and maintaining cost models involves creating detailed frameworks to forecast costs at both the asset and component levels. These models help in predicting future expenses accurately, ensuring better financial planning and resource allocation.
- Estimating: the use of top‑down estimating tools allows for broad, high‑level cost predictions. Additionally, building estimates from the bottom up using quotations and rates provides detailed and accurate cost assessments.
- Cost Challenge: analysing and optimising processes, civil engineering, MEICA design, evaluating construction methodologies and program allowances to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Reporting: preparing comprehensive reports and dashboards that clearly present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, providing actionable insights for decision‑making.
- Risk and Dispute Management: conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, preparing negotiation materials, handling claims and disputes efficiently to optimise revenue.

Experience within the water, energy or related utility sectors is advantageous.
