Are you ready to shape the future of the built environment in NSW and be involved in prominent city shaping projects?

As the Business Development Lead, you will join our NSW Buildings Leadership Team and you'll represent our business to clients, drive growth across all sectors in the Buildings market, and lead strategic initiatives that position us as a trusted industry leader.

With strong client relationships and deep knowledge of NSW's buildings landscape, you'll lead key projects and promote our capabilities while also guiding strategic expansion.

The role sits within our Buildings group where you will have the opportunity to work across on a broad range of sectors including health, data centres, defence, residential and retail precinct developments, office development, aged care, justice, sports and leisure and social infrastructure.

You will also be working as a project leader or technical adviser on projects to maintain the close connection to the Clients of our team.

The ideal candidate brings a strong network in the buildings industry, a track record of business development success, and a passion for delivering impactful, community-focused solutions.

Day to day tasks would involve

  • Client & Market Leadership: Be the trusted advisor clients seek, drive proactive engagement, and elevate our market brand.
  • Strategic

Growth: Drive market growth by identifying strategic opportunities, shaping bids, and leveraging industry trends to position the business as a technical and commercial leader.

  • Collaboration: Foster cross-business collaboration to strengthen client relationships, share global expertise, and support project delivery through Communities of Practice and strategic leadership alignment.
  • Project Delivery: Lead, review, and advise on key projects, ensuring efficiency and excellence in delivery.
  • Leadership: Collaborate closely with Business and Group Leaders to mentor emerging talent, identify strategic recruitment needs, and strengthen project delivery across the Business Centre.

To be successful for this role you'll need

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project management or relevant technical qualification is desirable.
  • Ideally 15 years of professional experience in a consulting firm operating in the building design market.
  • Proven leadership in the buildings market.
  • Professional registration in a related field is desirable.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A friendly team environment, with dedicated and enthusiastic staff committed to producing high quality service and deliverables.
