Responsibilities
- As Regional Commercial Lead - Major Projects, you will be responsible for ensuring that we have a healthy, profitable and sustainable Major Projects business, whilst ensuring we effectively manage and balance business risk and growth.
- You will oversee the commercial elements of bids and significant standalone Major Projects, developing competitive commercial proposals with partner organisations, whilst meeting business objectives and providing opportunity for outperformance.
- You will work with the Regional Directors, Major Projects Market Area Lead, other Commercial Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to develop, implement and improve strong and controlled commercial strategies to enable sustainable business growth within our Major Projects portfolio.
- You will build and maintain strong working relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads and use these links to review performance, identify opportunities for improvement and be a key escalation route for resolution of Major Project issues.
- You will clearly demonstrate visible, engaged Health & Safety leadership through active focus on performance and participation in leading indicator activity to protect the wellbeing of Stantec employees, clients, partners and the public.
- You will provide commercial leadership to the leadership group, ensuring that the team is inspired and motivated to deliver best practice in commercial & risk performance management, challenge conventional thinking and create a collaborative culture within the group.
About you
- Ideally qualified with a relevant degree, you will be an experienced Commercial Lead with solid understanding of how to work with professional services teams in a non-hierarchical organisation to deliver improvements and change.
- Experience in a similar consultancy environment, with relevant Design & Build experience in the regulated water sector would be highly regarded, with exemplary experience in NEC4 contract management practices successfully delivered through various commercial and alliance delivery models.
- You will have strong commercial acumen, strong business analysis skills and the ability to interpret and understand complex financial systems and reports.
- You will have the ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners.
- You will have a high degree of self-management, initiative, reliability and flexibility to ensure that the best possible service is given to internal and external clients.
- This is a national role so you must be willing to travel when required.
