Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Planner (Major Projects) in our Reading office, where you will support major water sector programmes and nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK. A briefing form has been completed for this role. You will join our national project planning team, which includes 15 colleagues across nine offices, with Glasgow and Reading acting as key planning hubs. The role sits within the Water sector and will support projects nationwide across the wide range of long-term frameworks we hold with water companies. You will support Strategic Resource Options, which are major projects due to their scale, project cost and nationally significant status. Working under the guidance of a senior planner, you will contribute to Stantec's design delivery across stages ranging from concept design through to construction phase support. About The Role

As part of our Major Projects planning team, you will support programme planning, reporting and governance activities that help major water sector projects progress effectively.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Creating NEC3/4 CL31 and CL32 Primavera P6 programmes.
  • Updating P6 programmes with monthly progress information.
  • Producing reports, data analysis and governance materials.
  • Contributing programme information during client updates.
  • Supporting collaboration workshops with project design teams and discipline leads.
  • Supporting compliance with NEC conditions of contract in the production of tender and contractual programme documentation.

This role will support professional development through the APM pathway, alongside in-house training and shadowing in Primavera P6, NEC training, QSRA training, Power BI training and wider project planning team learning opportunities.

Your Impact

This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities and the environment by supporting the planning and delivery of nationally significant water sector projects. Your work will contribute to effective programme management, governance and collaboration across major projects that support long-term water resilience and infrastructure delivery.
