Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for creating sustainable solutions? We are currently seeking Principal Electrical Engineers to join our team in the South West and Midlands. This role can be based out of our offices in the South West & Wales (Exeter, Bristol or Cardiff) or the Midlands (Birmingham, Derby or Redditch), where you will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business by providing EICA design services for a range of projects.
As an experienced EICA Engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with Project Managers, Design Managers, Design Engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will be involved in projects from optioneering and concept design through to outline and detailed design, as well as feasibility studies, site surveys and site investigations. Responsibilities:- Work in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with Project Managers, Design Managers, Design Engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community.
- Be involved in projects from optioneering and concept design through to outline and detailed design, as well as feasibility studies, site surveys and site investigations.
- Act as a leader and mentor to more junior Engineers.
- Deliver technical presentations to clients and other design engineers, including input to collaborative design discussions such as technical workshops, HAZOPs and ALMs.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
- Chartered or Incorporated status with several years’ experience in EICA engineering design within the water industry.
- Experience in writing technical specifications, control philosophies, EICA schedules and drawings, reports and developing design solutions.
- The ability to produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams and provide engineering input to other disciplines to enable multidisciplinary outputs such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Understanding of DSEAR and its requirements regarding EICA design and installation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver technical presentations and collaborative workshop facilitation.
