Role Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer with Water Sector experience needed to join the Flood and Coastal MEICA team located in Cambridge or Bristol. The role leads day‑to‑day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi‑disciplinary pumping station and water control projects, oversees high‑quality deliverables, and mentors junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of electrical design services on multi‑disciplinary pumping station and water control projects.
- Oversee the production of high‑quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules.
- Mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and support their career development.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of structural, civil, mechanical, and flood risk engineers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer in the UK, with a track record in the water and flood defence sectors.
- Experience supporting, developing, or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of BIM processes and tools, including Revit and electrical modelling software such as Trimble.
- Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters) in Electrical Engineering.
- Recently obtained chartered status.
