Overview

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join Stantec as a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor.

This role offers a chance to significantly contribute to the UK's energy transition and work on cutting‑edge hydropower and pumped‑storage projects such as Coire Glas (Scotland), Koysha (Ethiopia), Dinorwig (Wales) and other renewable, waste, nuclear, hydrogen and transmission projects across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee design and construction processes in line with CDM 2015.
  • Provide CDM Advisor support to clients and advise on health and safety legislation.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements of CDM and related regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant construction, health and safety, or engineering discipline.
  • Chartered status and additional Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH are preferred.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members and collaborate across the business.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of innovative solutions and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
  • In‑depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive environmental impact.
