The Opportunity
Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer, where you will become part of a market-leading Energy & Resources Ground Engineering team.
About The Role
As a graduate engineer, you will balance technical learning with practical project delivery to support key environmental and ground engineering projects across the UK. You will sit within our national geo-environmental team of specialists—part of the wider Ground Engineering Group—and collaborate with a broad network of other GEO professionals across Stantec. While your core focus will be on Energy & Resources projects, you will also have opportunities to work across multidisciplinary teams in other sectors.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in preparing qualitative and quantitative environmental risk assessments for land and water quality.
- Analysing site data and drafting comprehensive technical reports, desk studies, and environmental assessments.
- Opportunities to support on-site field works, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring, and site supervision.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across Transmission & Distribution, Waste & Generation, Minerals & Resources, Hydropower, Nuclear, and Water sectors.

The applicable professional chartership pathways supported for this role include Chartered Geologist (CGeol) with the Geological Society of London (GSL), Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) with the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES).
Your Impact
In this role, you will help assess and protect land and water environments for critical UK infrastructure and energy developments. Supporting projects across Transmission & Distribution, Nuclear, Hydropower, Minerals, and Waste, your work will directly inform sustainable land development and environmental compliance. Working alongside a national network of specialists, your technical development will contribute to delivering safe, resilient, and sustainable solutions for our clients and communities.
About You
