We’re looking for a Principal / Associate Geo Environmental Consultant to join our Northampton team as part of our successful Midlands Geo Division. This is an opportunity to become part of a close-knit, collaborative team where everyone’s voice is valued, and ideas are actively encouraged. You’ll be joining a group that works collectively to solve complex challenges, supporting each other while delivering high-quality work across a diverse project portfolio.
About the Role
You’ll take a leading role in the design, implementation and management of geo-environmental projects, working across a wide variety of sectors. Our recent work includes projects such as The Wave, major logistics developments, data centres, schools, HMP Fosse Way, and a range of residential schemes, giving you exposure to both large-scale and technically complex sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage geo-environmental assessments including desk studies and ground investigations
- Produce and review factual and interpretative reports
- Undertake human health, groundwater and ground gas risk assessments
- Prepare Remediation Method Statements
- Support project management, including client liaison and financial oversight
- Contribute to fee proposals and business development
- Mentor and support junior team members
You’ll also be responsible for preparing and checking detailed risk assessments, including:
- CLEA-based human health risk assessments
- BS8485-compliant ground gas assessments
- RTM-compliant controlled waters risk assessments
