Our Architectural team has an exciting opportunity for a Part I Architectural Assistant. The office is home to approximately 60 people working in Town Planning, Economics, Architecture, Masterplanning, Landscape, Graphic Communications and Sustainability. Based in Victoria Street, we offer a modern, open-plan office environment in Central Bristol, just 5 minutes’ walk from Temple Meads train station.

Responsibilities
- Preparing designs, hand drawings and illustrations using Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop.
- Contributing to the design process of early-stage planning applications, particularly for residential projects.
- Producing early-stage concept design options to a specific brief as required.
- Preparing baseline site and context analysis, including photographic surveys of sites and their surrounding areas.
- Contributing to meetings and document preparation.
- Maintaining an awareness of compliance requirements for design, legal, statutory and professional requirements.
You will
- Have a passion for good quality design and an understanding of the design process.
- Be confident in using AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop.
- Have an approach to design that is rooted in good site and context analysis.
- Be able to generate and evaluate multiple solutions to design problems.
- Be able to work with good attention to detail and coordinate multiple sources of information.
- Have strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate ideas in a clear and engaging way.
- Be willing and enthusiastic towards learning new skills and techniques.
- Have excellent time management skills, particularly in managing your own deadlines.
- Confident numeracy skills.
