With every community, Stantec redefines what’s possible. The Opportunity Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Cardiff office, where you will support the delivery of clean and wastewater infrastructure projects for local and national clients.
About The Role As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will sit within a local engineering team in our Cardiff office and work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver water sector projects for clients across Wales, the wider region and the UK. Key projects may include clean and wastewater treatment process upgrades, infrastructure improvements and programmes that help clients deliver more resilient water services and improved environmental outcomes across Wales and beyond. This role will give you exposure to engineering activities from feasibility through to construction, including the production of calculations, analysis and drawings, while developing practical knowledge of how civil engineering supports sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will help develop and deliver practical design solutions for our clients.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Supporting engineering activities from feasibility through to construction, including the production of detailed calculations, analysis and drawings.
- Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other industry software to present design solutions for clients.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals.
- Providing technical input on civil engineering matters to support the wider project team.
- Attending meetings and workshops with clients and colleagues from other disciplines.
This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities by supporting water and wastewater infrastructure projects that improve water quality, protect the environment and contribute to resilient water services across Cardiff, Wales and the wider UK.
