Our team at Stanshawes Nursing Home is looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to assist with delivering quality meals to our residents in the care home. This is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience within the kitchen or perhaps the development of a new career in catering. You will be helping to ensure that our residents' dietary requirements are met.

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant:

  • Taking an active role in supporting the Chef with the preparation and delivery of meals for residents.
  • Preparing fresh ingredients for various meals.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen area that adheres to both Health and Safety regulations and the exemplary standards of the home.
  • Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen environment.
  • Cleaning all crockery, cutlery and food preparation equipment.

  • Preparing food and ingredients for service.
