Technical Compliance Manager – UK Mainland Remote based – Join Our Team!

We are now seeking a Technical Compliance Manager to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our products remain compliant, safe, and fit for purpose.
As Technical Compliance Manager, you\’ll oversee a team of 2 Technical Design Engineers and ensure our products meet UK product and safety standards. From managing technical documentation to supporting third-party accreditation and enhancing our audit programme, you will be at the forefront of maintaining Stannah\’s reputation for safety and quality.
Technical Compliance Manager Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight: Lead, mentor, and support the Technical Design team while managing product compliance and incident reporting across the UK.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Maintain the Product Approval Register, support third-party lift directive accreditations, and drive continuous improvement through audits and inspections.
- Documentation & Standards: Develop and manage accurate technical documentation and maintain a comprehensive library.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Work cross-functionally with testing, sales, and training teams to ensure consistency in design, surveys, and knowledge sharing.
- Innovation & Industry Engagement: Review maintenance strategies with an IoT focus and represent the business at LEIA Quality & Technical Committee meetings.
Technical Compliance Manager Requirements
- Holds NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering or equivalent; HNC/D or working toward LEIA BTEC in Lift Technology.
- Deep understanding of OEM lift equipment, technical standards, data interpretation, and documentation.
- Able to clearly explain complex technical information at all levels.
- A natural leader with proven people management and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Committed to safety, continuous improvement, and excellent time management.
