Overview
Masting Operative Jobs in Andover at Stannah. Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Masting Operative (Final Process Checking Operator) to join the Masting department based at our Pioneer Road facility. This role involves ensuring that all products meet 100% Right First Time (RFT) quality standards before being distributed to customers. As the final checkpoint in our process, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality products to the end user. This is a permanent role with a Monday to Thursday, 21:00 to 06:45 shift pattern and a 33% shift uplift.
This position is suitable for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality, in a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety, precision, and continuous improvement are key.
Responsibilities
- Complete allocated jobs to specification, ensuring Right First Time (RFT) delivery.
- Read and accurately interpret technical product drawings.
- Carry out polishing and cosmetic finishing using hand air tools.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and comply with Health & Safety protocols.
- Support team flexibility and continuous improvement through cross-skilling. Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively.
- Proficient in interpreting and reporting technical data.
- Skilled in working with fine tolerances and quality standards.
- Experience using hand tools and working from technical drawings.
- Comfortable working at height using mobile platform ladders (training provided if needed).
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in final product quality inspection or related roles.
- Experience working from technical or engineering drawings.
- Experience using hand air tools for polishing and cosmetic finishing.
- Experience operating in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Experience working at height or with fine tolerances is desirable.
