Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Embedded Software Engineer to join the Engineering Department based at Watt Close, Andover.
This job will involve designing, writing, testing, and delivering embedded C and C++. To support embedded software solutions for passenger transportation within the stairlift industry.
You will work hands-on with software design and development for electromechanical devices and machines, collaborating with mechanical, electronic, and test teams to deliver new products and upgrades.
As a Graduate Embedded Software Engineer, you will work from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, and on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
This is a permanent, hybrid role requiring a minimum three days per week in the office depending on project demands.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with a degree in software, electronics, robotics, or a similar field. The ideal candidate will have previous work experience within the industry and be eager to grow in, embedded systems development and make a real impact in an innovative engineering environment.
Graduate Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test embedded software for microcontroller-based systems
- Develop software solutions for motion control, sensor algorithms, and safety-critical applications
- Collaborate with mechanical, electronic, and test teams to deliver new products and upgrades
- Maintain and update design documentation and software build environments
- Participate in debugging, unit testing, version control, and continuous integration processes
Graduate Embedded Software Engineer Requirements:
- Degree qualified in software, electronics, robotics, or a similar discipline
- Experience with embedded systems development in C or C++ shall be demonstrated through projects or coursework
- Good understanding of electromechanical systems and ability to diagnose system-level issues
- Familiarity with V-Model process (or similar), version control, bug tracking, and software build tools
- Strong communication skills and proactive attitude, with a drive to deliver projects on time
