Stannah have an exciting opportunity for aCell Leader to join the Manufacturing Department based at Newburn, Newcastle.
This job will involve coordinating daily shift activities, leading a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and driving performance to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
As the Cell Leader, you will 36 hours a week Friday to Sunday 06:00 to 18:30. This job is a permanent contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional looking to develop their leadership career within a successful and growing business.
To be successful as the Cell Leader, it is essential that you have previous experience in a modern manufacturing environment and supervising or leading a small to medium-sized team. Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities would be desirable.
Cell Leader Responsibilities:
- Lead daily team briefings and training initiatives to develop team capability and engagement.
- Drive team performance to achieve production targets across safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Manage staffing requirements, including absence cover, overtime planning and attendance administration.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve production challenges.
- Coach, mentor and support team members while fostering a positive and safety-focused culture.
- Previous experience working within a modern manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading or supervising a small to medium-sized team.
- Strong understanding of health and safety principles and continuous improvement processes.
- Good organisational, communication, IT and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data.
