We have an exciting opportunity for a Stairlift Installation Manager to join the Operations Department based at our Birmingham Install Depot, covering Birmingham and the surrounding area. This role will involve managing all aspects of stairlift installations and removals, ensuring the highest standards of health & safety, quality, productivity, and customer service are consistently achieved. You will lead and support installation teams while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the function.
This is a permanent position, working 39 hours: 0800-1645 Monday to Thursday and 0800-1545 Friday. This is a great opportunity for an experienced installation professional with strong leadership skills who is looking to take the next step in their career within a growing and customer-focused organisation.
To be successful as the Stairlift Installation Manager, it is desirable that you have previous experience in stairlift installation and testing, along with a strong understanding of health & safety standards and legislation. Experience in leading teams and implementing operational improvements would also be highly desirable.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Lead and drive continuous improvement across installation operations
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and profitability
- Conduct site visits, audits, and investigations into incidents or CRM issues
- Lead, coach, and develop teams to deliver excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Proven experience in stairlift installation and testing is desirable
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and industry standards
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Relevant qualifications (IOSH Managing Safely, NVQ Level 2, Asbestos Awareness, full UK driving licence) is desirable
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication skills
