Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join the Manufacturing Department based at our Watt Close Site. This role will involve fabricating and MAG welding company products to the required specification, working from detailed drawings, SOPs, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
As a Production Operative, you will work 37 hours a week, 14:00 - 00:00 Monday - Wednesday, 14:00 - 23:00 Thursday. This position is a permanent contract. During these hours you will receive a 15% shift uplift. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder looking to join a modern manufacturing environment that values teamwork, continuous improvement, and a right-first-time approach.
To be successful as a Production Operative, it is essential that you have previous experience in MAG welding within a manufacturing environment. Experience in continuous improvement and multi-skilled working would be desirable.
Production Operative Responsibilities:- Follow company Health, Safety, and environmental standards at all times
- Fabricate and MAG weld components to specification using drawings and WPS
- Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met first time
- Complete accurate daily production and quality reporting
- Support continuous improvement and new product introductions
- 2–3 years’ MAG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
- Proactive team player willing to cross-train and develop skills
