We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join Stannah Stairlifts Limited based in Newburn, Newcastle. This role will involve coordinating maintenance activities across production and site facilities, supervising a team of Maintenance and Facilities Engineers, managing maintenance projects, and ensuring all maintenance and facilities work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with business requirements.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45, Friday 08:00 to 13:00. This is a permanent contract. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supervisory role, supporting both facilities and production operations in a busy manufacturing environment.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience in facilities and production maintenance. Experience managing contractors, maintenance projects, and engineering teams would be highly desirable.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prioritise planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance activities, and production support requirements.
  • Supervise and provide technical support, coaching, and day-to-day direction to the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering team.
  • Manage refurbishment, property alteration, and facilities improvement projects in line with business and safety requirements.
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyse breakdown trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.
  • Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance, quality of work, safety standards, and value for money.

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

  • Previous experience within facilities and production maintenance, including planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Proven experience in managing a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations including COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work.
  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, planning, prioritisation, and maintenance record management skills.
  • Relevant engineering, maintenance, facilities, or building services qualification, with supervisory or team leadership experience.
