Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join the Manufacturing Department based at Watt Close, Andover. This role involves the fabrication of sheet metal components and welded assemblies to detailed engineering drawings, working across cutting cells, pre-fabrication, bending, robotic and manual welding, as well as weld inspection.

As the Production Operative, you will work Monday to Wednesday 14:00 to 00:00, Thursday 14:00 to 23:00, and you will receive a 15% shift allowance due to these hours. This role is offered on a permanent contract. To be successful as the Production Operative it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment and can interpret engineering drawings. Experience in weld inspection and continuous improvement would be desirable.

Production Operative Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate sheet metal components and welded assemblies in line with engineering drawings and quality standards
  • Work safely at all times in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Inspect completed work, complete accurate daily reporting and support quality requirements
  • Support productivity, continuous improvement and new product introductions within the department
  • Maintain operational flexibility, including machine utilisation, housekeeping and autonomous maintenance

  • Experience working in a modern manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Strong team-working skills with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Commitment to cross-functional training and continuous improvement
