We’re looking for an experienced Supplier Account Manager, someone who can build strong, productive relationships with our suppliers and help us achieve the best value from our supply chain. In this role, you’ll take ownership of key supplier accounts, support colleagues in developing their supplier‑management skills, and play an active part in resolving issues as they arise.
As the Supplier Account Manager, you’ll help shape and streamline our supplier base to ensure each product category is supported by high‑quality, value‑adding partners. You’ll work closely with colleagues across all levels of the business, building strong working relationships and acting as a trusted partner to our internal teams. This role is all about understanding what our internal customers need and ensuring those needs are met. If you enjoy collaborating, supporting others, and helping the business get the best from its suppliers, this is a role where you can thrive.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage key supplier relationships, supported by appropriate T&Cs and SLAs.
- Identify and lead supply‑chain improvement initiatives using data, system insights and collaboration with colleagues and suppliers.
- Lead effective supplier negotiations and support managers in developing strong supplier‑management capability.
- Assist managers in resolving supplier issues and consolidating selected supplier categories to improve efficiency.
- Identify and manage supply‑chain risks and ensure purchased products meet regulatory, standards and customer compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing or supplier management within an engineering environment.
- Lift industry knowledge is an advantage.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, sustainable supplier relationships.
- Strong background in supplier management, purchasing or supply‑chain operations.
