Joseph Stannah founded the business in 1867, and the family is in their fifth generation, playing a hands‑on role in running the business. Most people know us for our stairlifts, but our range of products includes lifts, escalators, and homelifts. We also provide maintenance and repair services.

Stannah, a global leader in the lift industry, is looking to recruit a qualified Stairlift Engineer. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working within the lift industry to develop their skills and experience as this role will involve working on the domestic side.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal Stairlift Engineer will have proven experience as a Stairlift Engineer or Domestic Engineer within the lift industry, and must have at least an NVQ level 2 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.

Route

Route across Hampshire and Dorset.

Working Hours

0800 to 1645 Monday‑Thursday and 0800 to 1545 Friday.

Responsibilities

Conduct maintenance, repair, and call‑out visits on a wide range of stairlifts, hoists and home lifts. Ensure high‑quality service and safety standards. Perform effective risk assessments and maintain site log cards. Participate in our on‑call rota, receiving additional standby allowance and call‑out payment.

Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 in Lift Engineering or equivalent (preferred; training available)
  • Proven experience as a Stairlift Engineer or Domestic Engineer within the lift industry
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service
