Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join the Engineering Department, based at our Andover site.

This job will involve designing, writing, testing, and delivering embedded software solutions for passenger transportation systems within the stairlift industry. You’ll work hands-on with motion control, sensor algorithms, board-level communications, and safety-critical software for electromechanical devices.

As the Software Engineer, you will work Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00. This is a permanent position.

To be successful as the Software Engineer, it is essential that you have previous experience in embedded C or C++ development. Experience in motor control systems, communications protocols, and scripting languages like Python, C#, or assembler would be desirable.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test embedded software for electromechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new and improved products.
