Founded in 1867 by Joseph Stannah, the company is now a global business with a focus on stairlifts, lifts, escalators and home lifts, and also provides maintenance and repair services.
Stannah is looking to recruit a qualified Stairlift Engineer to work on the domestic side of the business. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of stairlifts, hoists and home lifts across key stations in Manchester and the surrounding Bolton area.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:45 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am – 3:45 pm
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance, repair and call‑out visits on stairlifts, hoists and home lifts.
- Ensure high‑quality service and safety standards.
- Perform effective risk assessments and maintain site log cards.
- Participate in the on‑call rota, receiving standby allowance and call‑out payment on top of a competitive base salary.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Lift Engineering or equivalent (preferred; training available).
- Proven experience as a Stairlift Engineer or Domestic Engineer within the lift industry.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
