Stannah is a family‑owned manufacturing and engineering company that moves people and goods in and around homes and buildings. The company was founded in 1867 and has evolved into a global business. Stannah offers stairlifts, lifts, escalators and homelifts, and also provides maintenance and repair services.

The role leads the delivery of the Branch Business Plan, overseeing PPM performance, LOLER defect management, call‑out responsiveness, first‑time fix rates and overall margin contribution. The successful candidate will manage and support the field workforce and subcontractors, with health and safety, people development, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and risk management at the core of their approach.

Working hours: Monday‑Thursday 08.00‑16.45 and Friday 08.00‑15.45. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Field Service Manager Job Responsibilities
  • Efficiently plan engineer workloads
  • Manage absence, performance, and appraisals for the team
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures; conduct risk assessments and method statements
  • Carry out regular site monitoring
  • Maintain relationships with customers and address queries and complaints
  • Maintain credit control logs and CRM
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within the lift industry or a similar service industry with transferable skills is essential
  • Relevant technical or management qualifications would be desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 Lift Engineering
