We are best known for our stairlifts, but our product range also includes lifts, escalators, and homelifts, alongside maintenance and repair services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator Welder to join Stannah, based in Newburn. This role involves joining and fabricating metal components using MAG welding techniques, following technical drawings supplied by our in-house Rail Design Team. You will ensure every product meets quality standards and is delivered with a “Right First Time” approach. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 06:15 to 16:00. This is a permanent contract position, offering long‑term development and job security.

Success in this role requires previous experience in MAG welding and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Experience with Oxy‑Acetylene heating equipment and the ability to work to fine tolerances are desirable.

Fabricator Welder Responsibilities

  • Complete welding and fabrication jobs to specification
  • Read and interpret detailed product drawings
  • Deliver high‑quality work that meets QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow works instructions and health and safety protocols

Fabricator Welder Qualifications

  • Experience in MAG welding and fabrication
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Skilled in polishing and cosmetic finishing with hand air tools
  • Understanding of working to fine tolerances and digital bevel gauges
