We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Trainee Stairlift Engineer to join our Birmingham Service Branch team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in engineering, where you’ll receive full training and support to develop the skills needed to service, repair, and maintain stairlifts and lifting equipment. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll learn how to deliver safe, reliable solutions that make a real difference to customers’ lives.
Working Hours will be: Monday to Thursday 0800-1645, and Friday 0800-1545.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with repairs and maintenance on stairlifts, home lifts, hoists, and mobility equipment
- Support scheduled servicing visits and emergency call-outs
- Learn how to complete minor repairs and fault finding
- Assist with risk assessments in line with company procedures
- Help maintain accurate service records, including log cards where required
Qualified candidates will have:
- Mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
- A good understanding of best-in-class customer service
- Excellent communication – verbal and written
- A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role
