Join Our Team! Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Stairlift Installation Trainee to join the Operations department based in Birmingham. This role involves assisting the lead Installation Engineer with the safe and efficient installation and removal of stairlifts within customers’ homes, ensuring all work meets manufacturer, customer, and company standards. As the Stairlift Installation Trainee you will work 39 hours a week Monday to Friday 8:00 – 16:30. This is a permanent contract. It is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a technical role and develop skills within a growing and rewarding industry.
To be successful you must have previous experience using basic hand tools and an understanding of health and safety practices. Experience in mechanical and electrical work would be highly desirable.
Responsibilities:- Assisting with installing and removing stairlifts in customers’ homes
- Loading, unloading, and transporting equipment from the depot to the site
- Supporting the lead engineer to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Completing administrative tasks, including electronic forms, emails, and timesheets
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and customer care at all times
- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience using basic hand tools
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
