You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and reduction of Street Works charges across the business. This role combines hands-on charge management with driving improvements to prevent repeat issues. The role ensures compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, Section 74, and Street Manager regulations, with a clear emphasis on preventing repeat issues rather than reacting after charges are incurred. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage Street Works charges including but not exclusive to Section 74 overruns, FPNs, and GSOP.
  • Review and investigate charges to confirm validity, root cause, ownership, and preventability.
  • Identify trends, repeat issues, and high-risk areas across contracts.
  • Work with operational teams to reduce overruns and improve compliance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement practical fixes to prevent repeat issues.
  • Ensure lessons learned are shared and applied across the business.
  • Support delivery of monthly charge reduction targets and KPIs.
