Day in the life of a Kitchen Porter
As a Kitchen Porter you are a key performer who is at the heart of the operation, ensuring our culinary teams have the tools required to deliver excellent food service, our diners know and love. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen – supporting the team through the cleaning of kitchen areas, all equipment and work surfaces, with a particular emphasis on the pot wash area.
Key Responsibilities
- The unpacking and sorting of Kitchen deliveries
- Stock rotation
- Use of dishwasher facilities for kitchen crockery
- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen to meet hygiene standards and adhere to all aspects of licensing law, trading standards, food hygiene and health & safety
- Liaising with kitchen team on daily basis and supporting where needed
- Monitoring cleanliness of the kitchen areas as well as refrigerators and freezers
