What we’re looking for: Are you passionate about people and breakfast? Do you enjoy working mornings and then having the rest of your day to yourself? If the answer is yes, then this is the role for you. We are seeking a bubbly and friendly candidate who likes to be in a customer-facing position. You will ideally have worked within a hospitality or hotel setting previously; however, this is not essential. What is essential though is a passion for hospitality. You will be hard-working, able to work alongside others as part of a team, and able to speak confidently to customers. You will be great at getting up early.
Day in the life of: You will be working within our Breakfast team starting the day off excellent for our guests. Your shift will typically last between 3-6 hours and will include a range of duties and activities all designed to provide a smooth breakfast service for our guests. You’ll be working with a front-of-house team as well as communicating well with the kitchen team. There will be regular guests that you’ll get to know and enjoy greeting in the morning. And there will also be transient guests who are just visiting for the night or weekend. The breakfast will include a mixture of continental and hot choices for guests. And you’ll know the hotel’s breakfast offering well and will be able to make recommendations to guests when needed.
Example key duties:
- Meeting, greeting, and seating guests as they arrive for breakfast.
- Maintaining the breakfast buffet, keeping it looking fresh, appetising, and topped up.
- Providing table service, taking orders, and delivering orders back to the table.
- Keeping an eye on guests ensuring their drinks stay topped up and hot.
- Cash and card handling/transactions.
- Working with a till system.
- Working with the kitchen to ensure orders are communicated well and the breakfast shift runs smoothly.
