What we’re looking for: Are you passionate about people, events and food? If the answer is yes, then this is the role for you! We are seeking a bubbly and friendly candidate who likes to be in a customer-facing position. You will ideally have worked within a hospitality or hotel setting previously however this is not essential. What is essential though is a passion for hospitality! You will be hard-working, able to work alongside others as part of a team, and able to speak confidently to customers.

Day in the life of: You will be working within our meeting and events department supporting the food and beverage team in the delivery of excellent service to our guests. You will be working with small, medium, and large-scale events which could include celebrations like weddings, proms and birthdays as well as corporate business events like award ceremonies, networking events, and conferences. During your shift you could be doing activities such as serving tables, working on the bar, taking food orders to guests, helping to set up the room for an event, or greeting party guests on arrival. You may occasionally support other food and beverage departments too such as the restaurant, bar and breakfast team. You'll be working from a shift rota and will complete both daytime and evening shifts including weekends and weekdays. We are open to considering candidates with a range of availability.

Example key responsibilities:

  • Setting up the meeting and event space ahead of the occasion.
  • Meeting, greeting and seating guests.
  • Providing table service to meeting and event attendees.
  • Answering questions, taking and delivering food & beverage orders.
  • Serving guests from the bar.
  • Working and collaborating with supporting departments within the hotel to make the meeting and events a success.
  • Cash and card handling/transactions.
  • Working with a till system.
  • Up-selling and cross-selling when providing table and bar service.
