About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior UX/UI Architect / Product Designer to join our team on a Fixed-Term Contract in London. This role is crucial for an enterprise-level platform within the financial services sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating complex business requirements and rigorous backend delivery constraints into intuitive, scalable, and compliant user experiences. This role demands a strong focus on Information Architecture (IA) and a proven track record of designing sophisticated solutions for high-stakes, data-intensive financial platforms.
This is a unique opportunity offering significant flexibility, requiring only two days per week on-site in our central London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Information Architecture & Strategy: Lead the definition and optimization of complex information architecture and user flows for enterprise-level applications, ensuring data structures align with backend delivery requirements.
- End-toEnd Design: Own the full design lifecycle, from initial concepts, user research, wireframing, and interactive prototyping through to high-fidelity UI design using Figma.
- Enterprise Design: Design and iterate on complex financial interfaces (dashboards, reporting tools, trading platforms, etc.) that meet both stringent regulatory standards and high user expectations for usability.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering teams, and business analysts to define requirements, present design rationale, and ensure technical feasibility and successful backend integration.
- Usability & Testing: Plan and execute usability testing, gather feedback, and use data-driven insights to iterate on designs and continuously improve the product experience.
- Design System Contribution: Ensure all design outputs are compliant with, and contribute to, the established enterprise design system standards.
Required Experience and Skills
- Enterprise and Finance Expertise (Mandatory): Proven, hands-on experience designing and managing UX/UI for large-scale enterprise platforms, specifically within the Financial Services, FinTech, or highly regulated data sectors.

- Backend Awareness: Strong understanding of how design decisions impact backend delivery and system performance; ability to communicate effectively with engineers about implementation constraints.
- Contract Experience: Previous success operating autonomously in a senior contract/consultancy role.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to non-design stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise solutions, strategic IA, and high-fidelity UI design is essential.
