A well established pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Head of Site Engineering to lead engineering, maintenance, and capital projects at a regulated GMP manufacturing site. This is a senior site leadership role with full accountability for asset reliability, compliance, investment delivery, and the long term engineering strategy of the site. The role sits on the site leadership team and works closely with Operations, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all site engineering activities including maintenance, reliability, utilities, calibration, and facilities
- Own the site CapEx plan, from project identification through delivery and handover
- Ensure engineering compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory expectations
- Drive improvements in asset reliability, uptime, and preventative maintenance effectiveness
- Partner with Operations to support production targets and site performance
- Lead, develop, and retain a multi discipline engineering team and external contractors
- Contribute to the site master plan and longer term investment strategy
Background and experience
- Proven senior engineering leadership experience within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GMP environments and regulated engineering systems
- Track record of delivering capital projects in live manufacturing environments
- Experience leading maintenance and reliability strategies at site level
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands on in a complex manufacturing environment
