The Role: Purchasing Agent
Location: Hellaby, Rotherham (onsite)
Employment: 12 month FTC, full time
Responsible for managing the overall sourcing activities around general purchasing, supplier relationship management, resourcing activities, development projects and engineering change orders in support of Global Supply Management goals and objectives. Execute purchasing activities and act as a liaison between suppliers and plants.
Address supplier-related shortages and identify supply base gaps for future projects. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies.
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain with a track record of progressive responsibility
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and their use in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- SAP E03 competent
- Ariba Procurement module user
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes
- Previous experience in a Buyer / Purchasing Role
