About the location:

A traditional 19th century coastal pub with rooms on the Wirral bank of the stunning Dee estuary, providing sanctuary and refreshment to locals and visitors alike for over two centuries. Sympathetically improved in recent years, creating a timeless light and airy pub, staffed by a crew who strive to give warm and genuine hospitality. The Ship is located on the quayside of the former Georgian port of Parkgate in Cheshire, enjoying charming views over the Dee Marshes to North Wales. Upstairs we have a number of smart comfortable rooms, with a handful of front rooms facing the Marshes.

Job Description:

We're looking for positive and enthusiastic bar staff/server with an outgoing personality, bags of enthusiasm and a natural ability to look after people. We’re a family company looking for passionate people who are happy to go above and beyond, muck in with the rest of the team and genuinely care that every guest has a great time each time they visit us. Previous experience of working in a similar environment is essential as we know you’ll have the attitude and work ethos we’re looking for – bar staff who share our love of food, drink and most importantly people. Some experience of cask ales and cellar management would be preferable.

What we're looking for:

An enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working person who is looking for a sociable and lively place to work. Yes, it will get pretty busy but that’s how we love it – all the team muck in together to get the job done and there’s nothing more rewarding than looking back at the end of a busy shift knowing everyone who came through the door had a great experience. Previous experience of working in a similar environment is essential as we know you’ll have the attitude and work ethos we’re looking for – a bar tender who shares our love of food, drink and most importantly, people. Some experience of cask ales and cellar management is very much preferred.
