Are you looking for a role where you can support the Head of Finance in managing all aspects of a finance team of 8? This is a newly created position with an emphasis on managing the operational aspects of finance, working closely with the Head of Finance and comfortable updating the MD. This is a recently insourced finance team for a well-known luxury retailer that has several different revenue streams from ecommerce, international sales, through to onsite retail and cafe areas. They have seen strong growth and are commercially strong.
In this role you will:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies and long-term financial planning processes.
- Provide financial analysis and insights, including financial reports, margin analysis, and cost analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for a variety of stakeholders.
- Identify and manage financial risks by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and risk management strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal governance policies.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the selection, training, and evaluation of personnel.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in supervising and motivating a finance team, with a minimum of 5 years in finance, accounting, or financial planning. This role is based onsite 5 days a week in Pitlochry.
