About the Role
Stanford Real Estate Partners are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager who will act as a strategic finance business partner and will lead financial planning and performance across a large scale real estate development portfolio. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Development, Construction, and Investment, the Commercial Finance Manager will provide financial insight, manage project cashflows, and support key commercial decisions on high value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own development budgets, forecasts, and project cashflows
- Deliver monthly reporting with clear variance analysis and actionable insights
- Partner with project teams to support commercial decision making
- Build financial models, scenario analysis, and cost-to-complete forecasts
- Support project business planning and investment decisions
- Ensure spend is controlled and aligned with governance and approvals
- Monitor risks, contingencies, and budget changes
- Produce clear reporting, KPIs, and commentary for senior leadership
- Support month end activities including accruals, reconciliations, and financial accuracy
About You
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred) with strong experience in real estate, development, construction, or project finance. We are looking for someone with Advanced Excel skills, and experience building financial models from scratch. The Commercial Finance Manager will demonstrate a strong track record managing project cashflows, large budgets, and long term forecasts. Finally, you are a confident communicator, with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders; highly organised, with and can deliver in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
