We’re looking for a Network Engineer to help build and run a high-performance global WAN that underpins critical, latency-sensitive systems. You’ll join a small engineering group responsible for keeping complex routing infrastructure fast, stable, and predictable at scale. This role suits someone who likes owning production networks end-to-end and digging deep into routing behaviour when things don’t look right.
Responsibilities:
- Running and improving a geographically distributed WAN with demanding uptime and performance targets
- Designing and supporting networks built on MPLS
- Operating routing services across multiple BGP families in production
- Deploying and maintaining multicast capabilities, including MVPN
- Investigating forwarding paths, label stacks, and traffic behaviour across the network
- Supporting IP services and traffic flows across multiple sites
- Writing and maintaining clear design documentation and operational guides
- Working closely with other engineers and operations teams to deliver projects and support live systems
- Taking ownership of complex incidents that require detailed technical analysis
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience operating MPLS-based networks in production
- Strong knowledge of BGP (including EVPN and VPNv4)
- Solid understanding of MPLS forwarding, label distribution, and traffic flow
- Familiarity with at least one major routing platform such as Arista or Cisco
- A track record of diagnosing non-trivial routing and forwarding issues
- Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP, QoS, and traffic engineering
- Experience working in environments where reliability and correctness matter
- Network automation or tooling experience (e.g. Python)
