I am partnered with a leading quantitative hedge fund that are building out their on-prem computer infrastructure team.

Our client is scaling their Compute Operations team responsible for the day-to-day running of on-premises HPC infrastructure. From server hardware and Linux platforms through to user-facing support across Slurm and Kubernetes environments, this team keeps the compute ticking.

What you'll be doing:

  • Hands-on HPC server management, hardware diagnostics and lifecycle operations
  • Vendor coordination and escalation for hardware issues
  • Operational tooling across NetBox, Ansible and Bash/Python scripting
  • User-facing support across Slurm and Kubernetes environments

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years Linux systems background, specifically RHEL or Rocky Linux
  • Hands-on experience with HPC server hardware
  • Familiarity with operational tooling such as NetBox and Ansible
  • Scripting ability in Bash and/or Python for automation and operational tasks
