A leading quantitative investment firm is seeking a Linux Patching Programme Manager to take ownership of security patching and vulnerability remediation across its global Linux estate. This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Infrastructure, Security, Operations, Compliance, and Trading Support, ensuring critical systems remain secure, stable, and compliant without disrupting business operations.

What you'll do

  • Own and coordinate Linux patching and vulnerability remediation activities across a global infrastructure estate
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Engineering, Operations, and Trading Support teams to plan and execute patching programmes
  • Manage patch schedules, priorities, dependencies, risks, and remediation timelines
  • Drive change management processes to ensure patching activities are delivered in a controlled and auditable manner
  • Maintain asset and lifecycle data within JIRA Assets and related tooling
  • Produce regular reporting on patch compliance, remediation progress, risks, and exceptions
  • Coordinate third-party service providers and ensure delivery meets internal standards
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements through effective governance and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, tooling, reporting, and operational processes
