We are hiring a hands-on Java Tech Lead to join a high-performing Multi-Strat Hedge Fund. This role sits at the heart of the fund’s operational and technology stack, owning critical middle and back office systems while leading and mentoring technical teams. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Operations, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, robust solutions across a wide range of asset classes. This position offers exceptional breadth of responsibility and a clear progression path toward a future Head of Operations leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor multiple technical teams (up to three), while remaining fully hands-on with development and delivery.
- Act as the technical authority for operational systems and workflows.
- Own and enhance core middle and back office platforms supporting the fund’s daily operations.
- Design and build high-performance Java-based systems.
- Partner directly with PMs and Operations teams to onboard new products and strategies.
- Manage priorities, stakeholders, and delivery timelines across business-critical initiatives.
- Regularly engage with teams on-site to ensure alignment, execution, and continuous improvement.
Technical skill summary

- Strong understanding of production-grade financial platforms.
